DALAKSAGAW Festival 2017

It is the turn of the faithful of BASECO to celebrate in honor of Señor Santo Niño!

The celebration of the Feast of Sto. Niño in BASECO started with a Mass at Santo Niño de Cebu Sub-Parish presided by Rev. Fr. Arnold Sta. Maria, OSA, Parish Priest of San Agustin Church in Intramuros along with Rev. Fr. Jun Macabinlar, OSA, Prior of the Augustinian community in BASECO, Rev. Fr. Faith Ponce, OSA and Rev. Fr. Ariel Lara, OSA.

The mass was followed by a procession, participated by the faithful from the 14 chapels and mission stations around BASECO, as well as the seminarians and religious sisters from the Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament. A dance competition, part of BASECO’s DALAKSAGAW Festival (Dasal, Lakbay, Sayaw, Sigaw) was held afterwards.

The festival started in 2008 by then Parish Priest of San Agustin Church, Rev. Fr. Asis Bajao, OSA. It featured the talents of Baseconians, as a way of giving thanks to their Patron, Señor Santo Niño, for the blessings they received.
