Augustinian Formandees' Gathering
The Augustinian Formandees' Gathering, more known as ISA (Iisang Samahan ng mga Augustinians) is a gathering of all the formandees of the Order of St. Augustine (Vicariate of the Orient, Province of Sto. Niño de Cebu and Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation) together with the Augustinian Contemplative Nuns. Now on its 14th year, ISA hopes to bring camaraderie among the formandees, fostering friendship and improving ties with each other.
Prior General's Visit
Last January 25-27, 2017, Rev. Fr. Alejandro Moral Anton, OSA, Prior General of the Order of St. Augustine, along with Rev. Fr. Tony Banks, Assistant General for the Asia-Pacific, visited the Vicariate of the Orient to talks about the plans of reestablishing missions in China and expanding the presence of the order in Southeast Asia.
Pre-Novitiate Christmas Apostolate 2016
Last December 2016, the Postulants and Pre-Novices went around Northern Philippines to sing Christmas carols to different people and their families, in order to have funds for their Christmas apostolate. On the 23rd of December, they went around Manila to distribute 'Noche Buena' packs, clothes and toys to our less-fortunate brothers and sisters.
Professorium Christmas Apostolate 2016
The Professed brothers also held their 'Dinner for a Cause' last December 2016. They serve a four-course fine dining to their guests. The friars were able to gather enough money to buy goods that were distributed to our brothers and sisters around Intramuros, around BASECO, at the Tahanang Mapagkalinga ni Mother Rita, an orphanage of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation and to the Monastery of Our Mother of Good Counsel in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan to visit the Augustinian Contemplative Nuns and to give gifts to the different families living near the monastery of the nuns.
