5 brothers from the Province of the Holy Name of Jesus of the Philippines enter APAN

Yesterday, July 3, 2017, marked a brand new journey for these young men as they received the Augustinian habit.


Rev. Fr. Andres Rivera, OSA, Prior Provincial of the Province of Santo Niño de Cebu - Philippines lead the morning paraliturgy and acceptance rites where he blessed the habits of the new novices. This was followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Rudy Bugna, OSA, House Prior of the the Augustinian Novitiate and Prayer House in Talisay, Cebu.


Among those present were Rev. Fr. Jepser Bermudez, OSA (OSA Australia), the Master of the Asia-Pacific Augustinian Novices (APAN) and Rev. Fr. Robert Dael, OSA (OSA Orient), Assistant Formators of APAN.


3 brothers from the Vicariate of the Orient and 2 from the Vicariate of Our Lady of Grace - India, which are both circumscriptions of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus of the Philippines, were among the newly-accepted novices.


There were also 8 brothers from the Province of Santo Niño de Cebu - Philippines who were accepted in the novitiate.
