Welcome to the website of the Augustinians of Vicariate of the Orient!

 

We belong to the Order of Saint Augustine, and we were the first to systematically evangelize the country in 1565. We hope that you consider our order in your search for a path to answer God’s call.

 

The Augustinians live a life in common. Common life is the integral part of our charism. We live together in one mind and heart intent upon God. In the Order of Saint Augustine, common life is considered as our first apostolate. Thus, you will see here snippets and vignettes of our everyday life. We hope that you see in them the happiness that we share with each other inside the seminary.

 

We go where the Church needs us to be. Thus, we have been noted as church-builders, educators, guardians of culture and the arts, and administrators of parishes and mission areas. The variety of our apostolic endeavours is a manifestation of our readiness to serve God and His people wherever and whatever form that may be.

 

As you go through the different sections of this website, we hope that you find yourself attracted to our way of life. If you want to know us better, please feel free to contact me and we can schedule a search-in for you where you will get to live with our seminarians at Seminario San Agustin.
